When the King meets the Warrior, sparks will fly. Both of these Fire signs want to be first. But while Sun in Leo is looking for applause, Moon in Aries is looking for a fight. Each will fuel the other’s craving for action, although Aries may not give Leo all the attention he desires.
Sun in Leo lives for recognition, romance and drama. He is the hero of his own, never-ending story, and wants a partner at his side while he lives it. Sun in Leo can be big, bold, generous (and committed) with his love, but he expects much in return. His partner must show admiration and appreciation of her King, on a regular basis. It also helps if the romance stays alive in their relationship. If Leo starts to feel bored or neglected, he’ll either sulk or look elsewhere.
Moon in Aries needs a challenge. Domestic harmony and mellow evenings in front of the TV will bore her to tears. She feels satisfied when she’s able to push back against something, including her partner. Emotional eruptions are her way of letting her lover know that she trusts him. If she feels safe enough to tell him off when he annoys her, he’s in. The Shadow side of this Moon can include impulsive actions, driven by whatever Moon in Aries happens to be feeling. And she won’t consider the impact on her partner. At her best, she’s fearless and gives her emotions free rein. At her worst, she’s selfish and lacks empathy.
There will never be a dull moment between these two, and this will suit them both. Sun in Leo will be invigorated by Aries’ constant, emotional fire storms. Moon in Aries will feel stimulated by Leo’s attention-grabbing, larger-than-life persona. They will clash when Moon in Aries ignores Leo’s demands for attention. She won’t be mean about this; she simply won’t notice, and will be too impatient to cater to his ego. Sun in Leo will respond with wounded pride. Moon in Aries will lose her temper, they’ll clash, and have a passionate reconciliation. The relationship will stay hot. But a touch of cooling water or grounding earth elsewhere in their charts can’t hurt to keep things livable.
